Booking Terms & Cancellation
Last updated: 2 September 2026
These terms apply when you book a public tasting, private event, corporate event or related experience with Czerwik. Please read them before paying. Your booking confirmation and any written quotation form part of the agreement between us.
About Czerwik
Czerwik provides hosted wine and cheese tastings from 82 Commercial Street, Brighouse, West Yorkshire, HD6 1AQ and, where agreed, at other venues.

Public tasting bookings
Places are subject to availability. A booking is confirmed only when payment has been successfully received and a confirmation has been issued.
Each ticket admits one guest to the tasting, date and time shown in the booking confirmation. Please check the details before completing payment and contact us promptly if anything is wrong.
The price shown at checkout is the total amount payable. Czerwik is not VAT registered and VAT is not added to the price.
Public tasting events require a minimum of 10 guests. If the minimum is not reached, Czerwik may cancel the event and offer you a transfer to an available alternative tasting date or a full refund.
Public tasting cancellations and transfers
Public tasting tickets are for a leisure activity on a specific date. The usual 14-day cooling-off right for online purchases does not apply to this type of dated booking.
Unless the event is cancelled or materially changed by Czerwik, tickets are non-refundable after purchase. This does not affect any rights you have where a service is not provided with reasonable care and skill or where the law otherwise requires a refund.
If you contact us at least 14 clear days before the tasting, we may allow one transfer to another published Czerwik tasting date, subject to availability. A transfer is not guaranteed and any difference in price must be paid. Once transferred, a booking cannot be transferred again or refunded.
Within 14 days of the tasting, the booking cannot normally be moved or refunded. You may give your place to another guest aged 18 or over, but you must tell us their name and any dietary or accessibility requirements before the event.
No refund or transfer is available for a no-show, late arrival, booking error, change of personal circumstances or refusal of service caused by a guest’s age, conduct or intoxication.
Private and corporate bookings
An enquiry or provisional date is not a confirmed booking. A private or corporate event becomes confirmed when you accept our written quotation and pay the deposit or other amount stated in it.
The quotation will describe the date, location, expected guest numbers, experience, price, payment schedule and any special arrangements. If the quotation conflicts with these general terms, the quotation takes priority for that booking.
Unless the quotation says otherwise:
• the final balance is due 14 days before the event;
• final guest numbers, dietary requirements and accessibility requirements are due 14 days before the event;
• increases in guest numbers or changes to the agreed scope may increase the price and are subject to availability; and
• reductions after the final-number deadline do not reduce the amount payable.
We may release a provisional date if the required deposit or confirmation is not received by the stated deadline.
Private and corporate cancellation charges
The deposit is non-refundable because we reserve the date and begin planning the event when the booking is confirmed.
Unless a different cancellation schedule appears in the quotation, the following charges apply when the customer cancels:
• more than 28 clear days before the event: the deposit and any non-recoverable costs;
• between 14 and 28 clear days before the event: 50% of the total booking price; and
• fewer than 14 clear days before the event: 100% of the total booking price.
We will take reasonable steps to keep any cancellation charge proportionate to the losses and costs caused by the cancellation. A request to move the event will be treated reasonably but remains subject to availability, revised pricing and any costs already committed.
If Czerwik changes or cancels an event
We may make reasonable changes to the advertised wines, cheeses, host, timings or running order where necessary. Any substitute will be of a broadly comparable standard and the overall nature of the experience will not be materially reduced.
If we need to change the date, venue or essential nature of an event, we will contact the person who made the booking as soon as reasonably possible. You may accept the change, transfer to an available alternative or receive a refund of the amount paid for the affected booking.
If Czerwik cancels an event, you may choose a transfer or a full refund of the amount paid to Czerwik. We are not responsible for separate travel, accommodation, childcare or other costs you arrange unless the law requires otherwise.
Circumstances outside our reasonable control
Events may be affected by severe weather, travel disruption, utility failure, venue problems, illness, public-health restrictions or other circumstances outside our reasonable control. We will act reasonably and, where possible, offer a rescheduled date, credit or refund for the part of the service we cannot provide.
Age, identification and responsible service
Public wine tastings are for guests aged 18 or over unless the event listing expressly says otherwise. We operate Challenge 25 and may ask for an accepted form of photographic identification.
We may refuse to serve alcohol or ask a guest to leave where we reasonably believe they are under age, intoxicated, behaving unsafely, threatening staff or guests, damaging property or seriously disrupting the event. A refund will not be provided in those circumstances.
Please drink responsibly and arrange safe travel home. Guests must not bring their own alcohol unless this has been agreed in writing.
Where an event includes additional drinks during the cellar portion of the evening, these are served at Czerwik's discretion and remain subject to responsible-service requirements.
Allergies, dietary and accessibility requirements
Our experiences commonly include milk and may involve other allergens. Wine may contain sulphites. Food and drink are prepared or served in environments where allergens are present, so we cannot guarantee an entirely allergen-free environment.
Tell us about allergies, dietary requirements and accessibility needs when booking and no later than 14 days before the event. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate advance requests, but we cannot promise every substitution or adjustment will be possible.
If a requirement is medically serious, please contact us before paying so we can confirm whether the experience can be provided safely.
Arrival and conduct
Please arrive at the time stated in the confirmation. Late arrival may mean missing part of the tasting and we may be unable to repeat completed sections. This does not create a right to a refund.
Guests are responsible for their personal belongings. The person making a group booking is responsible for sharing these terms and the event details with every attendee.
The customer is responsible for damage caused deliberately or negligently by members of their group and may be charged the reasonable cost of repair, replacement or additional cleaning.
Payment and security
Payments are processed securely by the payment provider offered at checkout. Czerwik does not receive or store your full payment-card number.
We may correct an obvious pricing or description error before accepting a booking. If payment has already been taken, we will give you the choice of accepting the corrected booking or receiving a refund.
Gift vouchers and credits
Any expiry date, redemption conditions and restrictions shown when a gift voucher or credit is issued form part of its terms. Vouchers and credits cannot be exchanged for cash, resold commercially or replaced if used without the holder’s permission, except where the law requires otherwise.
Our responsibility to you
We will provide services with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.
For consumers, we are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, for business losses, or for losses caused by information or requirements that were not provided to us in time.
For a business customer, our total liability connected with a booking will not exceed the total amount paid or payable for that booking, except for liability that cannot legally be limited. We are not liable for indirect loss, loss of profit, loss of business or loss of opportunity.
Personal information
We use personal information to manage enquiries, bookings, payments and events as explained in our Privacy & Cookies notice. Please do not send sensitive information unless it is genuinely needed for us to provide the experience safely.
Complaints
Please raise any issue during the event where possible so we have an opportunity to put it right. For complaints after an event, email enquiries@czerwikstastings.co.uk with the booking name, event date and a clear description of the issue.
These terms do not affect your statutory consumer rights.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings in the courts that apply to your home within the United Kingdom. Business customers agree that the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
