Information we collect
We may collect:
• your name, email address, telephone number and postal or billing address;
• details of enquiries, bookings, orders, payments and correspondence;
• information you choose to give us about an event, accessibility requirement or dietary requirement;
• marketing preferences and records of consent; and
• technical information about your visit, such as your IP address, browser, device, pages viewed and cookie choices.
Payment card details are handled by the payment provider used at checkout. We do not receive or store your full card number.
Please only provide health or other sensitive information where it is needed for us to make your visit safe and suitable. We use that information only for that purpose and, where required, with your explicit consent.
How and why we use your information
We use personal information to:
• answer enquiries and take steps requested before a booking;
• manage bookings, orders, payments, attendance and customer service;
• provide the tasting, private event or other service you have asked for;
• meet accounting, tax, licensing, fraud-prevention and other legal obligations;
• keep the website secure and understand how it is used;
• improve our services and plan future events; and
• send marketing only where you have asked to receive it or where the law otherwise permits it. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Our lawful bases are usually performance of a contract or steps before a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, our legitimate interests in running and improving Czerwik, and consent where the law requires it. We do not use personal information for solely automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects.
Who we share information with
We only share information where it is necessary. Recipients may include Squarespace, which hosts this website and supports bookings and commerce; the payment provider selected at checkout; email, IT and professional service providers; event partners where needed to deliver a booking; and public authorities where disclosure is required by law.
Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we use providers and safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as adequacy regulations or approved contractual protections.
We do not sell personal information.
How long we keep information
We keep information only for as long as it is reasonably needed. As a guide:
• enquiries that do not become bookings are normally kept for up to 24 months;
• booking, order, payment and accounting records are normally kept for up to six years where needed for tax, accounting or legal purposes;
• marketing records are kept until you unsubscribe or we no longer need them, with a minimal suppression record retained so we respect your choice; and
• cookie and analytics information is kept for the periods described below or in the relevant provider’s cookie information.
We may keep information for longer where a dispute, legal claim or regulatory requirement makes this necessary.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to ask for access to your information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, restriction, portability, or to object to certain uses. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful use.
To exercise a right, email enquiries@czerwikstastings.co.uk. We may need to confirm your identity before responding.
If you are unhappy with how we use your information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. This website is built on Squarespace and may use:
Necessary cookies
These support security, page navigation, customer accounts, cookie choices, shopping baskets and checkout. They are required for services you request and do not need consent, although we still explain their use.
Analytics and performance cookies
With permission where required, Squarespace may use cookies including ss_cid, ss_cpvisit, ss_cvr, ss_cvisit and ss_cvt to recognise visits, understand traffic and measure how the site is used. Some last for about 30 minutes and others for up to two years. Squarespace may change its cookie names or durations as its service develops.
Third-party content and services
Payment services, videos, social-media links or other connected services may set their own cookies or collect information when you use them. Their own privacy and cookie notices apply.
Your cookie choices
Non-essential cookies should only be used with your consent where the law requires it. You can accept or reject available categories through the website’s cookie controls and can change your browser settings to block or delete cookies. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent the basket, checkout or other parts of the site from working correctly.
For Squarespace’s current cookie list, visit support.squarespace.com and search for “The cookies Squarespace uses”.
Links to other websites
Our site may link to payment providers, social networks and other websites. Those organisations control their own services, and their privacy notices explain how they use information.

We will review this notice when our services, suppliers or legal obligations change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
